Innovation at Sipario begins with a simple question: Can harp strings be reimagined? The answer lies in years of dedicated research, acoustic testing, and material science. We are redefining what harp strings can be—balancing tradition with new frontiers in technology and sustainability.
MATERIAL INNOVATION
For decades, the harp world has relied on just three string materials: gut, nylon, and fluorocarbon—two of which are fossi l-based. Each of our strings is the result of acoustic optimization. With higher density materials, reduced moisture absorption, and tailored string tension, Sipario strings del iver super ior projection, harmonic content, and tuning consistency. We also provide conversion charts between materials, helping musicians transition seamlessly across different string types.
BIOPLASTICS & SUSTAINABILITY
Our research focuses especial ly on next-generation bioplastics—materials derived from renewable sources that show remarkable acoustic and mechanical performance. Biocarbon, discovered in Italy in 2017, is one such material now debuting in the harp world thanks to our work.
BEYOND STRINGS: TECHNICAL SUPPORT & EDUCATION
True innovation includes how strings are used. Sipario provides not just products, but a complete ecosystem of knowledge: conditioning guides, video tutorials, and personalized support to help musicians get the most from their strings—faster stabilization, longer durability, and better performance under all conditions.

Our strings are designed for players of all genres and experience levels. Whether you are a passionate beginner or an accomplished virtuoso, Sipario has the perfect string for you.
